Check out the 3KND Newsletter for March!
3KND broadcasted live from the Darebin Community and Kite Festival at Edwardes Lake in Reservoir. Lots of community members and their families attended, with plenty of entertainment, stalls and of course, kites! 3KND also broadcasted live from the Whittlesea Community Festival at the Public Gardens in Lalor. There was a Welcome to Country, dance performances, live music and much more fun activities for everyone!
We had host of ‘Jam Pakt’ Jonzy come in to the studio and had a chat with Gypsy on the Midday Rush. Former NRL star and boxer Joe Williams also came on 3KND and spoke with A.J about the launch of R U OK’s campaign ‘Stronger Together’, helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities with suicide prevention.
3KND’s Treaty Correspondent Charles Pakana, did a special report on the protection of the Birthing Trees. Charles visited the main camp outside of Ararat, and spoke with Zellanach Djabmara about the struggle to protect culturally important trees.
Be sure to check out the latest news on Treaty and exclusive interviews on ‘Balit Dhumba – Strong Talk’ in this month’s issue. ‘Balit Dhumba – Strong Talk’ is on every Wednesday from 11am – 12pm on 3KND.
It has been a very busy month for us at 3KND, so check out more in the 3KND Newsletter for March!
