Are offering 10-12 internships commencing the 16 October. The internships are unpaid* and are offered 3 days a week for four weeks. The interns will have the opportunity to develop their employability skills, gain OH&S knowledge, participate in team building and undertake real work experience at our site in Bell Park. Our interns will be offered transport to and from work with pick ups and drop offs at central points throughout Geelong, they will be given lunch every day and will have the opportunity to work alongside our skilled team leaders. They will also work with our youth support team to develop a work/career plan that will help identify short and long tern vocational and personal goals.
Each year more than 50,000 secondary students across Victoria incorporate vocational education and training (VET) into their VCE or VCAL — starting out on flexible pathways towards a diverse range of education and career goals.
Get VET is an exciting new resource from the VCAA that will support teachers in helping students to get the most out of their VCE or VCAL by allowing students to explore the wide-range of opportunities and advantages that VET offers.
Get VET is available online here and includes information about VET, how to incorporate VET into VCE/VCAL, success stories and more!
Oh no! The LLEN has to move premises (thanks developers) and as funding has not yet been clarified beyond 31/12/19, we are looking for a temporary home from 4/3/19.
We don’t need much space.
Just an office for Anne-Marie, some space for the admin coordinator and a hot desk room housing 2 computers. We have our own multi-function printer but we can share one if need be.
We have our own computers (4) and our own server.
We will need access to a storage room for our filing and access to meeting rooms and facilities (tea room – we have our own supplies – and toilets)
We can pay some rent (being a not-for-profit our budget for paying rent is not big) and are more than willing to do so.
We hope that you can help us find a new home. We will need a new home until at least 31/12/2019 and we will need to move from our current premises by 4/3/19 at the VERY latest. If we can find the right kind of arrangement we can move earlier than this.
We prefer to be at least close, if not within the CBD.
