Invitation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Geelong for a NAIDOC project
An exciting project being held by the City of Greater Geelong for this years NAIDOC theme Because of Her We Can is about to take place!
All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who live in the Geelong region are invited to submit stories about women who have made an impact on their lives.
It could be your mother, sister, daughter, nanna, aunty, or even your teacher, a mentor, anyone that has impacted you! It could also be someone who has passed, that you have a picture of and are happy to bring along on the day to share their story.
On Saturday, 19th May, you are invited to come out to Narana Cultural Centre where there will be photographers, journalists, film crew (just small one of course!) all being supported by a group of amazing Aboriginal young people, ready to capture your story and the woman you are talking about to celebrate them.
We want as many stories from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as possible, so that we can make a huge impact on the collection for future generations to enjoy.
Please share this email to all your contacts in the hopes that it will reach Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people all over Geelong.
If you want further information, please contact
